If you are unable to attend, please email MelbourneSmashers@gmail.com to cancel your ticket. It will then be released for sale to other club members. Tickets are refundable upon request. The cancellation cut-off for both Tuesday and Thursday evening sessions is 3:00 PM on the day of the session.

Warm up with a day of competitive fun!   Melbourne Smashers is taking on Team SHAPER in an exciting interclub tournament!   📅 Saturday, 19 September 2026 📍 Peak Play Badminton Centre, Laverton North   Expect plenty of badminton, friendly rivalry, and a day of competitive games. Each club will enter 10 teams of two players, with every player guaranteed at least 10 games during the round-robin stage.   TOURNAMENT FORMAT Round Robin (Rounds 1–10) Teams will play opponents from the other club. One game to 21 points per match. The first team to reach 21 points per match wins. The top two ranked teams from each club progress to the semi-finals. If teams from the same club are tied, a quick first to 10 playoff will decide who advances. Mixed pairs playing against men’s doubles will receive a 4 point head start.   Semi-finals (Knockout Stage) The top 2 teams from each club will advance to the semi-finals Melbourne Smashers 1st vs Team SHAPER 2nd Melbourne Smashers 2nd vs Team SHAPER 1st One game to 21 points. Winners progress to the final.   The software determines which team advances to the finals based on the aggregate points scored versus points conceded. If the software ranking is still tied between the two teams within the same club, a quick first-to-10 match will be played to determine the winner within that club. Finals would never have finalists from same club. The final will always consist of one team from Melbourne Smashers and one team from Team SHAPER   Final 🏆 One Melbourne Smashers team will face one Team SHAPER team. No ticket required for members.   GUESTS We have temporarily paused free guest tickets for non-members trying us out.   If you would like to join as a guest, follow the below steps. If this is your first time playing with us, you will be required to sign a waiver. You can sign now or sign it later in the process.  1. Click 'Get Tickets'.  2. Add your ticket, then click 'Checkout'.  3. Complete the form, then click 'Proceed to payment'. You'll be prompted in this step to sign the waiver. 4. Click 'Submit order'. 5. Pay the $20 guest court fee when you arrive for your session.   Once your registration is accepted you will be sent a confirmation email. Please ensure you print this out or bring along a copy on your phone to show the coordinator.   When you arrive at the session please see the coordinator who will be by our computer desk. Please make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the session so we can verify your details.   Please Note:  We only take payment by EFTPOS.
